Manually Upload a List of Leads

🚨IMPORTANT: We only recommend using a static CSV to start & migrating to our webhook option. Using the Static CSV Upload is the only way to get historical performance, but can be confusing to manage over time.

🤷‍♂️ Why Use A Static CSV?

Using a static CSV upload allows you to look back through your CRM or database, but does not provide insights as to which leads were most successful. Just the account in general.

This can give you a quick gut check for how your data base is growing. We do recommend moving to the webhook option for more reliable & actionable usage.

WARNING: Most CRMs only timestamp the date/time the account was created, not the lead entry points times so you might get a false negative or positive if you just use the account created time.

💭 Fields & Template Formats

To use a CSV upload you need just two fields.

Field 1: Email Address, ex; [email protected]

Field 2: Time Stamp, ex: 12/16/2022 00:12:14

You can have other columns in your CSV, we just look for the above schemas and discard the rest of the columns.

🙇‍♂️ How We Standardize Your Leads

Our system looks for the schema contained within your CSV. Meaning, it doesn't matter what you name your columns.

1 column must contain an email address

1 column must contain a date.

The email addresses will be standardized in the following methods:

  • Lower cased
  • Remove '+' from accounts
  • Remove invisible characters & spaces
  • Grouped to the first date/time

📕 Unique Leads vs Leads

Sometimes people submit things multiple times.

Unique leads are the number of "Unique email addresses" which allows you to know the number of people and not the number of "form submissions".

Even CRMs do not standardize things. So, you might notice a slight discrepancy between your unique leads & leads.
