How to Use Webhooks

👉 This is how we recommend everyone set up their account for success! 

Don't worry, we want to get all the technical jargon out of the way.... but this is important. 

Webhook = The data that is sent from your CRM, Form Builder, or App.

Endpoint = The location that data is sent (in this case, Lead Insight Pro).

You will be using webhooks to set up your lead inputs & endpoints to sort them (don't worry we'll walk you through it).

To create your first endpoint & lead collection point follow these steps ⬇️

Step 1: Head to "Lead Sources" tab in your dashboard 

Step 2: Click "Create New Lead Source" in the top right corner 

Step 3: Give it a name 

Step 4: Copy the endpoint (url) 

IMPORANT: The URL is unique to that lead source & you can always come back and copy it from your report. 

PRO TIP: Most people create a lead source for every lead magnet & entry point into their system.

If you want to know Paid Ads vs Other leads, simply add the endpoint to your CRM or form automation logic! 

People can submit the same form multiple times... we see it all of the time! 

Unique Leads = The number of unique submissions of that form. 

Leads = The number of form submissions. 

We keep both of these here because "Leads"  is usually closely related to what you will see in other platforms like Facebook Ads or Google Analytics but not a unique person. 

The endpoint is looking for an email address. That is all! EVERYTHING ELSE IS DISCARDED😎 

As long as the webhook you send (more on this later) contains an email address, you will be good to go! 

1. The webhook looks for the email address
2. Standardizes & stores the email address
3. Timestamps the exact time the webhook was received.
